I am selling this item to organize my collection. The mark on the foot rim is the character "筒江" (Tsutsue) written in a stylized form within a double frame. This piece was made at the Tsutsue kiln in Yamanouchi, Arita, and is a rare example among Ko-Imari ware that bears the kiln's name. It is a heavy, well-balanced piece, commonly known as "kurawanka" (a type of dish). I believe it is a high-quality Ko-Imari octopus arabesque dish, considering its dyeing, design, and firing. Diameter: Approximately 14.5 cm Height: Approximately 4.5 cm There are some minor imperfections, such as old age "new" (hairline cracks) and kiln marks, but there are no noticeable cracks or chips. I believe it is in generally good condition. As this is an antique item, please examine the images carefully and consider before purchasing.
