This is the SOT-23 package of the J201. It's often used when simulating a vacuum tube amplifier with discrete components. The TO-92 package with three legs is actually easier to handle, but since counterfeits are common, the chip version is the current product, so it's safe, although it requires more delicate work. Surprisingly, it can be attached with a regular soldering iron. To mount it on a universal board, use a pitch conversion board. You can also mount it at an angle without using a conversion board (brown board in the photo). Several are listed for sale, by quantity. I measured the characteristics.
