Two Ko-Imari sometsuke (blue and white) bowls with karako (Chinese children) design. I purchased these, believing they are from the late Edo period. The size is approximately 7.5 cm in diameter and 4.3 cm in height. Please allow for some minor variations. Both bowls have a small chip, about 1 mm in size. One bowl has a thin crack, about 3 cm long (please see photo 10), but it does not affect its use. They look beautiful, so they could also be used as sake cups.
