I received this as a gift in return for celebrating my friend's conferment of honors. The chrysanthemum crest, associated with the Emperor, is drawn in the center of the saucer. I'm not certain because I threw away the box, but I believe it's Arita-yaki porcelain. (I've listed the product name as Arita-yaki, but I'm not sure.) I don't know the kiln, but I think it's an expensive item. It's new and unused, but I've stored it in a cupboard for about a year. Please purchase if you are satisfied.
