The IIIb is the last camera that Oskar Barnack was involved with. It is the final model of the "sheet metal Leica," with a die-cast viewfinder and a unique diopter adjustment lever shape. Manufactured during the war in 1939, the production volume was reduced due to the decrease in the number of craftsmen, making it surprisingly rare. Almost everything has been disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and buffed for each part (especially gears and sliding parts). The viscosity of the oil and the consistency of the grease have been changed depending on the part to adjust the operational feel, so even those who are new to Barnack Leicas can purchase with confidence.
