This is an old Ko-Shino tea bowl from the Momoyama period to the early Edo period. It comes in a very old paulownia wood box. It has a solid and weighty construction. The shape is a perfectly distorted "kutsu-gata" (shoe-shaped), with a powerful and dignified appearance. Underneath the generously applied glaze, there is painted decoration.
