Dylan's world tour from September 1965 to May 1966 featured a stage setup where the first half consisted of acoustic guitar performances, and the second half featured electric guitar rock with the Hawks (later The Band, with drums by Mickey Jones) as the backing band. Because of this, fans who preferred the old folk style showed critical attitudes with jeers and boos during the second half of the performances.
