Koga Ningyo from Nagasaki, "Acha-san." Koga Ningyo are clay dolls from the former Koga village in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture. They began to be made around the Bunroku era (1592-1596) and are now designated as a traditional craft of Nagasaki Prefecture. The production year of this item is unknown. The clay is baked at a low temperature and then painted. This item was purchased used, and there is some paint peeling on the feet from the beginning, so please be aware of this.
