I think it's just right for those who find S too shallow but M too deep. It gives the impression of a significantly higher success rate for high notes. Yet, the tone is maintained, and I felt it was a good mouthpiece. There are some scuffs and light scratches, but there are no scratches or dents that would interfere with playing. Although the workshop remained after being acquired in the 1980s, it closed in the 1990s. Since the 1990s, the production of mouthpieces was essentially outsourced to several subcontractors. However, it became difficult to obtain them because production had stopped. One of those subcontractors, regretting the loss of the prestigious mouthpiece, revived it as "NY Classic" by utilizing the original data and tools they possessed. Including the popular V-cup model, it is faithfully reproduced to the original, except for the logo.
