This is a kyusu (teapot) by Masaki Murata, a master craftsman of Tokoname ware. Usugata kyusu (side-handled teapots) are rare and popular among Murata's works. It has a subdued color change from the kiln, and the entire surface is decorated with tataki (hammering) ornamentation. Suitable for Japanese tea as well as Chinese tea. Please try holding and using this wonderful kyusu by Masaki. Product Condition: This kyusu is in very clean condition with little sign of use. There are no scratches, cracks, or chips.
