Kasugayama Castle is deeply connected to Goto Matabei, who served Kuroda Kanbei. It is known as the site of "Kasugayama Castle," the residence of the Banshu Goto clan. The remains of the castle and food storage facilities can still be found at the summit. We offer a castle stamp and a pamphlet. The pamphlet is folded to envelope size. Kasugayama Castle was built during the Kenmu era. Goto Saburozaemonnojo Motoaki, a vassal of the Harima guardian Akamatsu clan, was the first lord of the castle, ruling over the entire present-day town of Fukusaki and parts of Himeji City and Kasai City. During the Onin War, he fought as a subordinate of Akamatsu Masanori, defeating the Yamana forces and achieving military success.
