This is a Tokoname-yaki 3-gou (size 3) jar from Kyumatsu-gama, the pinnacle of Japanese tsukemono (pickled vegetables) containers. The manufacturer went out of business in 2013, making this a rare, domestically-produced item that is no longer available.
