This is a set of 5 kumidashi chawan (tea bowls) by Muramatsu Suizan of Ohi Ware. These are a lovely set of tea bowls with an amber glaze. They were purchased by my grandfather, who loved pottery, at an art club in December 1997 for 40,000 yen. Size Diameter: 9.3 cm Height: 6 cm Please forgive any errors as these are amateur measurements. -------------- Ohi Ware is a tea pottery that has been passed down for about 350 years in Kanazawa City. Its main characteristics are its warm shapes made by hand-coiling without a potter's wheel, and its profound brown amber glaze, which is loved by many tea ceremony practitioners. -------------- There is no sign of use, and no noticeable dirt, scratches, chips, cracks, or breaks. They are beautiful items with a good sheen. The size is suitable for use as teacups or small bowls. Comes with a shared box. The box has some damage from age. Please check the images for the condition. I would like to pass them on to someone who will appreciate and use them. The color in the first photo is closest to the actual product.
