I believe this is an old item. There's a chipped part, but it could still be used as is, or for kintsugi (gold repair). It's a very atmospheric piece, with a scene of cranes taking flight, a landscape that evokes a quiet, gentle atmosphere, and it's lovely. There also appear to be clouds. I hope it finds its way to someone who appreciates it and enjoys it. The lid doesn't appear to have any noticeable scratches.
