Maling & Son, the old-established British tea merchant Ringtons/リントンズ, created the chintz pattern. (A long-established kiln that continued production for over 200 years, from 1762 to 1963). The company created Ringtons' representative patterns "Chintz," "Willow," and "Castle & Bridge." This chintz pattern, featuring navy blue with pink roses and rose vine motifs, is said to be the most beautiful pattern designed by Maling, and has been loved for over 100 years since its creation. After Maling closed its kiln in 1963, the ceramic manufacturer "James Sadler and Sons" manufactured this reproduction in response to strong demand for a revival. It has an Art Deco style form from that time, and the frame is hexagonal. The pattern is lovely, with a deep navy blue and antique-colored pink roses. There are two sizes of chintz teapots, and this is the large size, with a capacity of approximately 800ml when filled to 80%. It is in a beautiful condition, almost unused. There are no particular points of concern, but it is a vintage item from 42 years ago.
