Thank you for viewing. This is a set of 5 lacquered bowls. The age is unknown, but they have been stored in a wooden box for a long time. The old wooden box has the words "Noto Gokujo Kiri Maki-e" (Excellent Noto Paulownia Maki-e) written on it. Both the bowls and lids are black on the inside and vermilion (brown) on the outside. Only the lids have a gold and black design, which appears to be paulownia. I believe these were used by someone from a few generations ago. There are what appear to be small scratches on the inside (photo 8) and small scratches on the bottom (photo 9). Due to the warping of the wood over many years, the lids do not close perfectly, but I don't think either of these issues will affect their use. I think the condition is good considering their age. They will be shipped without the wooden box, wrapped in cushioning material and sent in a cardboard box. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. [Supplement] Price reduced.
