This is a top-quality mon-isho material, meticulously woven from carefully selected, specially chosen silk threads, with strict control from the twisting of the yarn to the weaving process. It is dyed with a genuine mud-dye process using the Amami island's sharinbai (wheel flower) as the dye. It features a plump, puffed weave with a ground pattern of branches and leaves. It has accents that resemble prisms of light. The fabric and dye are clearly of high quality at a glance. The color is likely close to grape gray. The basting threads are still attached.
