Type: Pot The color was, I believe, cherry red. I haven't scrubbed it with anything harsh or bleached it because I didn't want to damage the paint, so there is some discoloration. It will be sold as is. I think the exterior still has its shine, but it is a used item, so there may be scratches and small marks. I have used it with an induction cooktop. In my personal opinion, it gives a slightly different finish than a pressure cooker for things like braised pork belly or beef tendon. ^_^
