The previous owner was a professional player, and I believe it was used in live performances. When I purchased it, the carrying case had a slight tobacco smell, but I don't notice it now. Currently, no smoking or pets. I've attached a copper plate to the octave down key, but it's attached with double-sided tape and can be removed. I don't use this key (it's prone to mis-triggering). Power-on and operation confirmed within my usage range. I applied recorder grease to the joint between the main unit and the mouthpiece, so the stickiness is not due to deterioration or hydrolysis, but rather prevents deterioration.
