The second harvest refers to the ears of rice that sprout again from the cut stalks after the autumn harvest. We felt the boundless vitality of the rice ears, and used them as the material for this Japanese-style New Year's swag. Also included is a decoration befitting the New Year, featuring a craft of next year's zodiac animal, the horse, tied with rice straw from the "Kinumusume" rice. (All are natural plants.
