Coleman Two-Mantle Lantern 228D, a restored item. Commonly known as the "Big Hat." I purchased this restored lantern a few years ago, but I have never lit it, and it has been stored at home. It has been beautifully restored (mirror finish + overhaul), and I was very satisfied with it as a vintage collection piece. I am selling it to organize my belongings as I have no plans to use it in the future. I understand it has been thoroughly overhauled, but the details are unknown. I purchased it as a restored, new item, but since I have never used it, I do not know if it currently burns properly. Please understand this before purchasing. Production period is around 1948-1951, a later model. The stamp is B 48. Although it is a restored item in beautiful condition, it has been stored at home, so please understand that it is non-returnable and non-refundable. Also, please refrain from price negotiations. Although it is beautiful, the status is listed as "has some scratches and dirt" due to it being a restored item. For reference, I have included photos from a few years ago when I purchased it, in the 19th and 20th images. There is some dullness due to the passage of time as it has remained unused.
