French Choisy-le-Roi kiln, A lavatory basin from the Pornic series. Pornic is a part of the Brittany region in France, known for its castle and old port. It has a somewhat grayish green color that is hard to describe, and is a lovely piece with flowers like marguerites and pinks painted on it. ✔︎Size: Approximately 24.5cm ✖️ 13.5cm Rim height: Approximately 4cm ✔︎Age: Around 1900 ✔︎Condition: Overall, it is in good condition, but there are areas where the enamel has peeled off on the surface and circular stains spreading from there (see photo 3). Also, although not visible from the front, there is a chip on the back edge (see photo 16). This is common with old lavatory basins, and it wobbles slightly, so we recommend using it with a cloth underneath. Please take a close look at the photos to consider the condition. In addition, as it is an old item, there may be stains, small scratches, paint skips, blurring, and misalignment due to aging that cannot be fully described, as well as damage from firing and peeling of the glaze.
