This item is a Stradivarius-style chin rest made from hard maple. It is a work by Yuji Matsuoka, a full member of the Craft Association. Size: Length 12.0 cm, Width 6.3 cm, Height 2.5 cm, Weight (including hardware) 52 grams. Dyed black and polished, the difference in absorption creates a zebra-striped pattern on the chin rest. This is achieved using traditional craft techniques. Finally, a glass coating is applied. Our workshop is the only one that uses a glass coating on chin rests.
