The surface is glass. No box included. Everything in the images is what's included. We have been using Studio Alice since our 13-year-old son was 0 years old. Therefore, some of the items may be from 13 years ago. They were displayed for a few years and then stored in a closet. There are some minor scratches here and there, but I don't think they are very noticeable. We are looking forward to your purchase if you understand. The white ones may show dirt more easily than the other two colors. Also, one of the white frames has aged and has an off-white color.
