This is a size 1 Nemubeko from Tori Mingei. It was only opened once for photography, but I made sure not to touch the figure itself during the shoot. It has been stored in a dark place otherwise. As a bonus, I will include a Nozawa Mingei Sayuri Beko size 1. I believe this color was only available at the direct-managed store and not online. The following is from the website: Nemubeko A Beko that gently sways its head as if drowsy. The patterns and colors of the Akabeko made by Nozawa Mingei are preserved. It's a Tori Mingei original Nemubeko with only the eyes looking sleepy. The eyes, which determine the expression of the Akabeko, are drawn with a stamp to avoid individual differences, but the sleepy eyes of the Nemubeko are all hand-painted by a limited number of craftsmen. It's a product that is typical of Tori Mingei, "trimming folk art."
