Pockets are placed on both sides of the waist to prevent the fukusa (silk cloth) from falling out, and it also supports the reverse hand tea ceremony. In addition, there is a sewn-in area below the chest to securely hold kaishi (paper), and the deep overlap prevents the kaishi from falling out. The shoulder straps are longer than conventional aprons, allowing for waist size adjustment. It fits a wide range of sizes, regardless of body type. The shoulder straps are passed through the metal fittings on the sides and cross at the back.
