These are combat boots from Gibson Shoe Factory, located in Marikina, the shoe capital of the Philippines. Gibson is a traditional manufacturer that supplies shoes to the Philippine military, police, and the Thai military, among others. They are basically the same construction as the US military's Tropical combat boots, but without the arch vents. These boots are issued to the Philippine military and ROTC (officer training programs at universities, etc.). You can see on YouTube that they are still used by the Philippine military and ROTC recently (although, as expected, they seem to be gradually being replaced by high-cut sneaker-style boots). Size: Fits like a 27-27.5 (sneaker size). Marked size is 9, but it's closer to a US size 9.5D. I wear a 26-26.5 in leather shoes, 27 in sneakers, Euro 42, US 9D, and these boots are slightly large, but I could wear them without any problems by tightening the laces. Condition: The upper leather is basically fine, the insole (black fabric) and lining (white cotton) are fine, the vulcanized sole (very sturdy) has some wear, the nylon upper has some fraying and scratches, and the original shoelaces have some fraying. There are basically no problems with use. However, please understand that these are used items, so no claims and no returns. Stains, tears, odors, etc... present.
