This is believed to have mitigated thread wear, gear distortion, and the crushing of gear teeth. For those using the "Core Gear Pressure" tool, this can be accommodated by purchasing crimp washers. However, for the Spur Gear Yellow, which has no (core gear) stroke, crimp washers need to be processed one side at a time. For other gears, processing can be done by inserting washers from both sides. Sometimes the parts stick due to the pressure, and can be removed by hand. If they don't come off, you can use a shaft to remove them. (The jig image, and the gear and shaft in the usage instructions are not included.) ☆How to Use ☆Images 2, 3 Select the ring adapter to be used and insert it into the jig. ☆Image 4 Pass the shaft through and screw on the other jig. Basically, press one side at a time without washers, but you can also press from both sides simultaneously. Washers are included, so insert them into the concave side and press. (The convex side of the washer faces the gear.) Be careful not to damage the screw threads. If the threads are not properly aligned and you rotate the tool, the tips of the threads may be damaged, making pressing impossible. The amount of force required varies from person to person. The more you tighten, the greater the holding force, but be careful not to overtighten. Overtightening or tightening only with the jig can cause damage to the tool or gear.
