We create various pickguards with rounded outer edges, a matte finish, and added natural aging. Vintage Stratocaster pickguards have worn edges that appear smooth and glossy, but in general, commercially available aged pickguards don't fully replicate this. The edge shaping, color aging, and rust on the screw holes are all done by hand. The color aging is added with special dyes, so it won't wear off even with heavy playing. Common aged pickguards use colored lacquer paint, which can chip off with picking. The following pickguards are available: * 3-ply Mint Green 62 type * 3-ply Mint Green 72 type * 3-ply Ivory 72 type * 3-ply Ivory 62 type * 3-ply White 62 type * 3-ply White 72 type * 1-ply 8-hole White The difference between the 62 and 72 types is the position of the screw hole between the front and middle pickups. The 72 type has it closer to the middle, while the 62 type has it in between the front and middle. The cracks on the neck side and the right-hand horn are simulated and not actually cracked. The scratches around the neck pocket are from adjusting the truss rod on a vintage Stratocaster, but please let us know if you don't want them. In 72 models, the truss rod is a bullet rod and located on the headstock side, so the recess and scratches for accessing the truss rod above the front pickup are not included.
