This is a Chinese hanging scroll. It's a Bunjin-style mounting with a bag-style mounting (no streamers). It was sold in my grandfather's shop 30 years ago. It was displayed and sold at the time, and has been stored in a paper box ever since. Due to its age, there is considerable deterioration, old stains, ink transfer, sun damage, and edge peeling. There are probably more old stains on the mounting and the back than on the main paper. There is dirt around the ends of the scroll. The hanging cord, the roller cord, and the surrounding area have discoloration, stains, and wear.
