This is a very old Ichimatsu doll. In my opinion, the craftsmanship is comparable to, if not better than, Koryusai's work. There is some soiling and cracking due to age, but this is unavoidable considering its age. The bellows make a cute sound when you press its stomach. Height: 52 centimeters The kimono is all made in the same way as human clothing. The kimono, layers, and undergarments are all lined. It is not a layered (hiyoku) construction. The obi (sash) is also made entirely of silk. Modern clothing does not suit Ichimatsu dolls that have lived through many years. I have carefully selected the fabrics for the kimono. Silk fabrics will become discolored and unsightly when exposed to sunlight. To enjoy the beautiful kimono for a long time, I recommend avoiding direct sunlight.
