The Portman is a rare gem, difficult to obtain nowadays. It's from the Prestige line, featuring moccasin stitching, skin stitching, a seamless heel, and a beveled waist. John Lobb Portman / 7000 Last Size: 9EE Color: Brown (Museum Calf) This pair was manufactured shortly after John Lobb acquired Edward Green's Northampton factory. At the time, the craftsmen who made the Dover were involved in the production at the same factory, and it features extremely delicate skin stitching that is no longer seen today. The upper leather, in particular, is of high quality, with natural color variations and a rich depth of expression. It is virtually impossible to obtain a new pair with the same specifications and quality today, and I believe it can be said that this is a pair from the era when John Lobb's craftsmanship was at its peak, both in terms of technique and materials. In terms of condition, there are wrinkles from wear and a feeling of use on the insole, but the leather quality of the upper is good, and you can still enjoy wearing it for a long time. *Personally, they fit my feet very well, and I hesitated to let them go, but I am selling them to organize my collection.
