This is a donabe (earthenware pot) created by ceramic artist Ichishiro Nakagawa at the request of Michiko Matsuda, incorporating Matsuda's culinary science. It can be used for all cooking methods except for frying. Due to its high petalite ore content, it can be washed and immediately placed back on the heat, making it a unique donabe.
