Purchased in the 1990s and used almost daily for about 5 years. While the leather, zippers, and interior lining have no major issues, there is some tearing on the corners of the bottom, the metal hardware has discolored, and there is overall damage. I no longer use this type of bag myself, but would it be suitable for someone who appreciates a retro, "leather bag!" feel? Price is negotiable to some extent, so please feel free to comment.
