I bought this at a museum somewhere. It's in the same condition as when I bought it, unused and still folded as it was, but this is a dyed product and has uneven coloring from the beginning. It looks like it might be plant-dyed, but there's no description, so I don't know for sure. He is a figure loved and admired by many even today for his selfless life, his carefree play with children, and his warm calligraphy and paintings. Born into a wealthy family in Izumozaki, Niigata Prefecture, he entered the priesthood at the age of 18. He lived his life without owning a temple, relying on alms. In his simple life, he preached Buddhism in an easy-to-understand way and left behind many anecdotes and excellent works of art. ★ The following book is an extra.
