This item was obtained from a girl of the Akha ethnic minority group near Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand. While many similar items are sold in souvenir shops, their designs often leave something to be desired. I was very fond of the one this girl had, so I asked her to sell it to me. It holds sentimental value, as it was used for many years on special occasions, so it's not inexpensive. However, if you like it, please feel free to use it.
