How much you need to look closely to notice something varies from person to person, but in my subjective opinion: Pilling, fuzzing, unraveling threads less than 3 cm, stains less than 5 mm (or not limited to 5 mm if the stain is light), tears less than 3 mm (excluding the knee area of pants), fading, wrinkles I may list items with the above issues, or items without them, as "no noticeable scratches or stains."
