Made in USA. Manufactured January 1984 Button back: 532 Red Tab (Circle R) While the 505 has a wide silhouette now that skinny jeans are popular, it used to be a slimmer version of the 501. The 505 was developed in the early 1960s for the East Coast of America. It's a tapered, traditional straight cut, with a narrower hem than the 501, making it slimmer. These 80s 505 jeans also have a narrow hem. Back then, they were popular with models and others who found the 501 a bit too bulky.
