Thank you for viewing! This is a large natsume (tea caddy) with a beautiful, detailed chrysanthemum pattern. The chrysanthemums, blooming abundantly on the calm, matte white lacquer, add a touch of seasonal color. The entire surface of the natsume, from the lid to the body, is covered with chrysanthemums. The inside is finished with black lacquer. A piece that showcases the Wajima chinkin (gold inlay) technique. Made by Akira Kado, comes with a wooden box. The artist's biography is included. It appears to have been stored without being used much, and there are no cracks, chips, or peeling lacquer. It is a beautiful item.
