This product is made with care, using only the red heartwood (core wood) of a Japanese cypress tree originally about 30cm in diameter, grown at the foot of Mt. Fuji, after removing the white sapwood (outer wood). The red heartwood is highly resistant to mold and water, making it an excellent building material. As you can see in the photos, the red heartwood does not develop mold. The entire surface is polished for a very smooth finish. It is finished level so that either side can be used. You can directly feel the warmth, gentleness, and comfort of the wood, which is very soothing. Great for interior decoration in rooms, entrances, and shops because of its pleasant fragrance! The scent of cypress has many benefits and effects, such as relaxation and better sleep. It can also be used as camping gear, such as a firewood chopping block, lantern stand, trivet, side table, or stool. Harvested January 2023, naturally dried.
