This is a plate from the "Mozart" series by U&C Sarreguemines (Utzschneider & Cie, Sarreguemines). At the time, the Lorraine region was on the French-German border, and from 1870 to 1918, it was under German rule. Items with the U&C SARREGUEMINES logo are essentially "French pottery manufactured under German rule." Therefore, the Mozart series is said to be a "fusion of French Belle Époque and German precision," and it remains a popular series today. Based on the stamp and markings, this is an original piece manufactured in the early kiln. The garland pattern of roses and ribbons is delicate and lovely. It's also a convenient 20cm size. There are no scratches or chips. It has a shine and shows almost no signs of use. There is an area on the edge where the glaze did not apply during manufacturing. Five pieces are available for sale.
