This is a household radiation detector that allows you to easily measure the radiation level of a space with one hand. (Excerpt from the description on the back of the box) Purchased in 2011, it was used a few times for measurements and then stored in a closet. Upon inspection for this listing, I inserted batteries and checked the device. The LCD and lamps lit up. (See photo 8) The values on the LCD also change, so I have determined that it is functioning normally and am listing it for sale. Please note that the AA batteries are not included.
