It belongs to the category of jadeite and is often used for carving. Excavated since 2007, it has properties similar to jadeite. It was officially named "Sha Taicui (shē, tài, cuì)" after the local name "Shetaizhen" with the addition of "翠 (cuì)" which means jadeite. It shows aging more prominently than jadeite, and you can enjoy a greater sense of moisture and luster♪ Compared to jadeite, it has a richer color palette, is easier to bring out the luster, and is relatively affordable.
