Kasuga Taisha is a Shinto shrine located in Kasuganomachi, Nara City, Nara Prefecture. It is a shrine listed in the Engishiki (a Heian period set of laws and regulations), and one of the Twenty-Two Shrines. Formerly a Kanpei Taisha (Imperial Shrine), it is now a Beppyo Jinja (Shrine of a Special Category) of the Association of Shinto Shrines.
