Thank you for viewing. This is a Fukurokuju statue purchased at an antique market. The condition is poor, but the carving was good, so I brought it home. I occasionally displayed it on a decorative shelf and enjoyed it, but I think it's time to pass it on to the next person. Fukurokuju is said to be the god of fortune who fulfills all of people's wishes. He has a staff in his right hand. This staff is said to indicate wealth (fortune), such as mineral veins and water veins. It has been broken and repaired. He holds a treasure orb in his left hand. The wrist is cracked. He is also accompanied by a crane. The crane represents longevity. It appears to be undamaged. His characteristic long head also has a beautiful shape. His beard is slightly chipped. The base is also carved. Perhaps branches and leaves. One branch is split open. Since the condition is not good, those who are concerned should probably refrain from purchasing. I think this would be very good for those who can appreciate these imperfections as signs of age. Size: Approximately 32 cm tall
