They achieve excellent fit by pulling the laces from the heel side, just like Waraji. The split-toe design inside the toe area prevents foot slippage, providing a comfortable fit. The ankle area uses soft, highly fitting Climaprene® [chloroprene rubber], which does not restrict ankle movement during river ascent and also prevents sand and small stones from entering.
