I don't know the specifics, but it is said to be an antique called a "Yamachawan" (mountain tea bowl). According to my research, it is an unglazed pottery made from the late Heian period to the Muromachi period. As it is an old item, there is an appropriate sense of age, such as blackening, on the main body, wooden box, and string. I will leave it as is, as cleaning it might detract from its age and atmosphere. I hope you understand.
