This is a handmade pedal made point-to-point based on the circuit of the EarthQuaker Devices Life Pedal, and this one is based on V2. The footswitches are, from left to right, for the booster and distortion ON/OFF respectively. Both circuits are independent and can be used alone, but the distortion must be ON to use the octaver. Also, unlike V3, there is no switch to switch the octave effect. The knobs are, from the top left, Amplitude, Filter, and Distortion, and from the bottom left, Magnitude and Octave. Amplitude is the same as a normal Level control, and the amount of distortion is adjusted with the Distortion control. The Filter control works as a high-cut, and the higher frequencies are suppressed as you turn it clockwise. Octave blends the upper octave with the original sound, and Magnitude adjusts the boost output. In addition, the clipping options can be switched with the toggle switch. Position 1 is asymmetric clipping with silicon diodes and LEDs, position 2 is symmetric clipping with silicon diodes, and position 3 is no clipping (op-amp only). Note that the original has an external pedal jack to operate the Octave control, but this is omitted. 1590BB2 size (approx.) 120mm x 94mm x 38mm Caps are attached to all potentiometers to prevent dust from entering. Please use a DC9V center-negative power supply. There may be scratches during production or use. Also, be careful as continuous contact with rubber materials may cause the coating to melt.
