Both were used indoors, and when not in use, it was stored in a dehumidified cabinet. I used a Kenko protective filter from the time of purchase and have never removed it. As it is an expensive lens, I have taken great care of it and have never bumped or damaged it. My child has graduated, and I no longer have a need for it due to the focal length not being sufficient for elementary school events, so I am selling it. From my perspective, there are few noticeable scratches, and I don't see any mold on the lens, so I think it's in beautiful condition.
