Nobuyuki Matsui went to the UK after graduating from high school and majored in psychology, but enrolled in the London College of Fashion in 2011. He studied menswear and won the Fashion Scout fashion contest for young designers at London Fashion Week while in school, and held a runway show. After that, he gained experience at a young maison and returned to Japan. He 본격적으로 started the brand Nobuyuki Matsui, which bears his own name. He presents bespoke clothing in a collection format. From pattern making to sewing and fabric processing, he handles everything himself, and presents it as made-to-order clothing, sometimes as artwork.
